You can purchase the kit in 3 versions. The only difference between versions is how much of the preparatory work has been done for you. The versions are:

  1. Ready to Assemble – all cuts, access holes, and tapping is done – the bed is ready to be assembled
  2. Difficult – parts are cut to length, but tapping and drilling still needs to be done by you
  3. Advanced – raw materials are delivered – all cutting, tapping, and drilling to be done by you

Looking for a DIY rock and roll bed in a ready-to-build kit? You’ve come to the right place!

This seat is designed for a pocket that is 42″ wide by 30″ deep (the seats extend to 51.5″ when turned into a bed) with a bed platform height of 9″. This bed is based on t-slot material that is 1″ x 1″ and is designed for micro-campers but can be adapted to fit any van. It has a weight capacity of >500lbs. It will fit most small vans sitting partially over the wheel well on one side and leaving room for a cabinet or storage on the other.

There are 3 options to purchase the bed, each of them requiring more effort and expertise from the buyer in exchange for saving labor costs. Cutting may reduce shipping costs (and takes approx. 4 hours to complete – requires a mitre saw with fine-tooth blade), drilling (approx. 4 hours – requires a $30 jig and drill) and tapping (approx. 6 hours – requires a drill and tap bit) is time consuming and requires care and attention to detail. All directions are included with each version.

Custom changes can be made for a pre-paid, pre-agreed fee. Most size modifications can be done in under an hour, but those changes will affect materials needed, changing the final price of the bed. A specific quote will be given after the redesign is complete.

Included in this package:

  • For the Ready to Assemble Version: all structural material, cut, drilled, and tapped ready to be assembled with full assembly instructions
  • For the Difficult and Advanced Versions: all structural material, partially prepared with full preparation and assembly instructions
  • all fasteners, and the tool needed to assemble the bed
  • a plywood cut sheet for the seat bases
  • plastic sliding clips for seat back

Not included in this package:

  • shipping (see below)
  • 1/4″ plywood for the seat bases
  • rates for changes needed to modify the bed dimensions to fit a different vehicle (most changes can be made in one hour)

NOTE: Shipping is impossible to automate, so costs will be determined after your order. You will have a chance to approve the shipping cost prior to proceeding. If that cost is not acceptable, a full refund will be issued. There are also many providers of this building system spread around the world, so chances are, we can find one that is close to your location. In limited cases, pick-up may be available.
